As part of the Domestic Implementation Measures (DIM) that fall under the terms of the EU’s Energy-Related Product (ErP) Directive, 60W incandescent lamps will be phased out from September 2011. Once all remaining stock has been sold, it will not be possible to import more. However, this should be no cause for concern given the highly efficient alternatives that are currently available.
OSRAM’s broad range of DULUX Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) provide energy savings of 80% and last up to 20 times longer than GLS equivalents. These are available in a wide range of shapes, sizes, bases and wattages to suit all requirements. This includes elegant, compact shapes that can be used within decorative fittings without compromising the style of the fitting.
OSRAM has a range of CFLs available in Warm Comfort Light. The light colour allows customers to achieve energy savings of up to 80% while at the same time creating a warm, welcoming glow usually associated with an inefficient incandescent bulb. These lamps also feature a Quick Light function which means they are 50% faster to reach full brightness than their predecessors equipped with a leading Quick Start function.
OSRAM also manufactures LED retrofit lamps that have excellent lighting quality and are genuine replacements for conventional 60W incandescent lamps. The PARATHOM Classic A 60 and the PARATHOM Classic A 80 come in the Classic A lamp shape, consume only 12W and have an average lifetime of 25,000 hours. OSRAM has also introduced new PARATHOM PRO Advanced lamps that provide all the benefits of standard LED retrofit lamps and come with the addition of being fully dimmable.
Aside from Classic A shapes, OSRAM’s PARATHOM LED retrofit range features a number of lamps in different shapes, sizes and wattages so again you can find the perfect solution for any fitting or application.
