Voltimum officially launched its Facebook page to its users on March 22, 2010 and had approximately 300 fans sign up within the first 24 hours.
In the first week we had 418 fans sign up, 89 wall posts and 2,135 visits. The Voltimum Facebook Page had some very positive feedback posted on the walls regarding the website, newsletters and importance we play in the industry. To encourage people to join us on Facebook we promised an Xbox 360.
And the winner is: John M Baverstock
To launch its Facebook page in March 2010, VoItimum offered fans who signed up before 30th April, the chance to win an Xbox 360. Voltimum is happy to announce that John Baverstock , an electrical contractor from South Norwood, near Croydon in Greater London is the lucky winner. John’s name was drawn from over 700 fans and he was presented with his prize by Voltimum Marketing Manager, Ramon Brincat.
John has been involved with the electrical industry for the last 30 years. His interest in all things electrical and mechanical goes right back to his childhood when even as a young boy his ambition was to have his own electrical company some day.
Happily, John has achieved his childhood ambition. His company, JMB Electrical, based in South Norwood, is NICEIC approved and carries out a wide variety of electrical installations including commercial, domestic or industrial projects. Like many other companies operating in the sector, John is concerned about the current economic uncertainty and its effect on the electrical industry in general.
A regular user of the Voltimum site, John finds the newsletters, VoltiNEWS and VoltiTECH both interesting and informative. They are an important way for him to keep up to date on what is happening in the industry. He also finds the Question and Answer area and Technical Resource area very useful and has referred to this section of the site on many occasions in the past.
In his free time John enjoys watching football and is a true supporter of Millwall football club. He also enjoys outdoor activates with his 16 year old son, especially watching him play football. It is, in fact, John’s son who will be most pleased with Dad’s win. John said, “He didn’t believe me when I said I had won the Xbox courtesy of Voltimum. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when I arrive home with it this evening”!
