The Association for Environment Conscious Building has created a Passivhaus Trust to promote the reduction of energy use and carbon emissions from new and refurbished buildings.

The trust is a not-for-profit company absorbing the Passivhaus Buildings Trust and Association.
Through the trust AECB will encourage the development and widespread adoption of proven methodologies to deliver buildings with low levels of energy use and carbon emissions.

The AECB also confirmed the recent departure of managing director Liz Reason, John Walker and Daniel Nabarro, from the AECB's Passivhaus Buildings initiative, in order to pursue their own joint projects.

Three new directors have been appointed to the Passivhaus Trust: Neil May, Nick Grant and Peter Wilkinson will join Chris Herring on the Board.
