OSRAM’s LUMILUX® XT and XXT fluorescent tubes are ideal for use in installations where maintenance cannot take place without disturbing normal operations (e.g. factories operating around the clock and illuminated signage). Designed for lighting systems with demanding requirements, XXT lamps have a service life of up to 75,000 hours meaning they have a life expectancy that is over 4 times higher than normal LUMILUX® fluorescent tubes. XXT fluorescent tubes offer extremely long maintenance cycles leading to reduced maintenance costs while providing light for maximum productivity.
OSRAM LUMILUX® XT fluorescent tubes are designed for places where lamp replacement is a costly operation, such as factories with high ceilings, underground stations, tunnels and street lighting. With a service life of up to 42,000 hours, the XT has a life expectancy that is over 2 times higher than that of a normal LUMILUX® fluorescent tube. Consequently, re-lamping will occur less frequently leading to substantial cost savings. In addition, replacements can be planned over the long term which further reduces maintenance costs and has a positive impact on overall lighting costs.
The LUMILUX® XT and XXT tubes both benefit from excellent luminous flux throughout their long lifetime. The end user also benefits from a much lower cost of ownership compared to standard LUMILUX® T8 fluorescent tubes when initial investment, operation, maintenance and re-lamping are taken into account. Not only this, but the XT and XXT are environmentally friendly. Firstly, they have very low mercury content (< 5 mg) which is well below the RoHS threshold. Secondly, the environment benefits due to a reduction in the consumption of resources such as glass and metal due to their longer service life.
