Additional revenue is being made available to many van insurance customers by using fleets of vans to display posters advertising various products and services.

The scheme has been initiated by Posters in Transit, which plans which products and services to advertise on which vans by taking into account where the vans will be driving and the specific times of day they will be on the road, reports CampaignLive.co.uk.

According to the company, several hundred advertisers have already signed up, partly because it believes as many as 3,000 potential customers can view the posters in a single hour.

Charles Endacott, managing director of Posters in Transit, told the website: "The positioning of our posters is in direct line of sight of other road users, drivers and passengers and this maximises the impact of the medium."
