Support services and construction company Carillion has been selected by Partnerships for Schools for the Government’s new £4 billion Contractors Framework.
The Framework is part of the core Building Schools for the Future programme and will be used to deliver academy schools, primary schools and potentially other local authority infrastructure projects.
The Framework, which started this month (November), will run for five years and will cover the North and Midlands region and the South and South East. Carillion is one of six contractors that have been selected for both sectors.
This latest success further consolidates Carillion’s position as a market leader in providing education projects for the Government’s Building Schools for the Future programme.
Commenting Rob Holt, Carillion Director for Education said: “Carillion is very pleased to have been selected for the new Contractors Framework. We are looking forward to working with Partnerships for Schools, local authorities and the academy sponsors to support the delivery of their educational vision for their schools.
“This Contractors Framework is a continued opportunity to positively influence learning outcomes, improve the life chances of young people and support the local economy of the areas in which we work.”
