Support services and construction company Carillion has secured a £25m gas connections contract for clients United Utilities Networks on behalf of asset owners Northern Gas Networks.
The three and a half year contract commences on 28th September 2009 with an expected end date of 31st March 2013 - there is also a potential for a six month extension to aid the procurement process.
The work involves the installation of new services and mains.
Carillion Utility Services who will carry out the work has been awarded the contract to cover the Northern Gas Networks area of northern Cumbria, the North East and most of Yorkshire.
