The First video in the series, to be released online and on DVD, "An Introduction to Protection for Safety and Fault Protection". The Second of the series concentrates totally on "RCDs (Residual Current Devices)". With the introduction to the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations, the requirements for the application of RCDs to provide protection against electric shock increased dramatically, and there are also requirements for RCDs to be provided for fire protection purposes. This video will explore the requirements in the regulations in detail and consider the selection of appropriate RCDs and consumer unit configurations to meet the requirements of the regulations.
