Many people consider the main change in the 17th edition regarding insulation resistance to be the acceptable minimum pass value. However there are some changes within regulation group 612.3 which make these tests no longer as straight forward to carry out as many may think.
Insulation resistance tests provide an indication of the condition of any insulation used to provide protection against electric shock, short circuit and earth faults.
