CIBSE Young Engineers’ Network Champions Awards: Shortlist announced

BookmarkThis 29.06.2009

The CIBSE Young Engineers’ Network (YEN) has announced the shortlisted companies in line to win a CIBSE YEN Champions Award recognising their innovation and commitment in developing young people in the industry.

AECOM and Gifford are fighting it out for the larger companies, while either CBG Consultants Ltd or Steensen Varming will win the award for smaller companies.

The two awards will be presented at an awards ceremony taking place at the Royal Academy of Engineering on 9th July 2009.

The awards are aimed at rewarding companies who take the development of young people seriously and who know that supporting young people both in employment and in education is vital. Young engineers from the winning companies will also have a chance of benefitting from a free place at the CIBSE 2010 National Conference – thanks to trophy sponsors Baxi Commercial Division.
