Leading British engineering design firm Arup has recently won the 40th annual MacRobert Award, the UK's biggest prize for engineering innovation. The award was given to Arup for their innovative Beijing Aquatic Centre, also known as the Water Cube. This insulated greenhouse is a lightweight structure based on the geometry of soap bubbles and is clad in a space-age plastic material called ETFE. Question: I have a customer looking for 1 square mm heat resisting cable to IEC60245-7 (1994), with a temperature range of up to 110oC. Is this a correct specification, ie: the 110oC?
I recently took and failed the 17th edition. The reason I failed was I ran out of time. In an attempt to gain a high pass mark, I was diligent and thorough. This was my downfall. Had I simply guessed (educated guessed) I would have passed. This was well founded by those who with no electrical ability or experience passed the exam. Now these same people will be out purporting to be electricians and being a danger to themselves and others. The passing of exams, for some will never prove the true professional ability...
