The new compact Lean Managed switches from the Factory Line product range of Phoenix Contact are compatible with fiber-optic networks and offer special management features.
They allow users to connect copper-based Ethernet devices or network segments to any type of fibre-optic Ethernet network. This product range includes compact 6-port switches with two fibre optic ports in ST/BFOC or ST/BF SC formats. You can choose whether to connect multimode or singlemode optical fibres 5-port or 8-port twisted pair LM switches are available for twisted pair networks.
Since the switches can be easily diagnosed using Web-based Management (WBM) or SNMP, large-scale and redundant networks can be set up and serviced in an optimal manner. When faults occur, the switches automatically reconfigure themselves using standard RSTP or Fast Ring Detection for rapid identification of redundancies.
Powerful management features such as IGMP Snooping, Port Mirroring,Port Configuration, SNMP Traps, and configurable signaling contacts cover all relevant application requirements for industrial environments. With approval from Germanischer Lloyd and an extended temperature range of -40 to 70°C together with versatile connection options in a compact enclosure, this switch is suitable for a wide range of applications in maritime and industrial environments.
