Vent-Axia will be launching a whole new range of “Ventilation Products for Tomorrow’s Market” in the early part of 2009, following a review of what it describes as the part of our product range which has become “dated”, and no longer fit the market leading requirements of the UK brand Leader.
It follows on the back of a significant investment that the company says is in excess of £1m in its manufacturing processes for new products. This will see it further consolidate its position as the largest volume fan manufacturer in Europe, and continue to reduce its dependency on overseas suppliers.
Kevin Sargeant, CEO of Vent-Axia commented,
Following the various acquisitions and investments we have made in recent years, our UK Manufacturing base is now stronger than it has ever been in the 70 plus years of the Company. This has given us an ideal platform upon which to implement a review of our overseas supplier partners, the main ones of whom we have partnered since the mid 1980’s. Unfortunately we have seen them fail to improve or re-design their products for the modern market, and their products have become somewhat dated. We have also noted deteriorations in quality in some instances as cost pressures have resulted in an increasing need to re-engineer some products.
Therefore, our investments in UK manufacturing at our sites, in Swindon, Reading, Crawley and Dudley will allow us to re-invigorate our product offering with many new models expanding upon the traditional products as well as broadening the ranges further in the field of LoCarbon and energy reduction.
I firmly believe that in difficult market conditions, this is the ideal time to update and expand our product portfolio, to continue Vent-Axia’s tradition of driving new products for tomorrow’s market.
Ronnie George MD of Vent-Axia added to Sargeant’s message saying:
Wow, what a first 9 months in the business it’s been for me, I really cannot believe the quantum of changes we’ve implemented over such a short period, both in manufacturing investment and new product creation. I cannot claim to be the instigator of it all, as much of the work was underway before I joined, but it’s been great to be part of a very exciting period.
It will all cumulate in February 2009, as we role out the new products to replace, as Kevin has alluded to, some products that we felt no longer matched our customer’s needs for tomorrow’s markets, in both the Residential and Commercial Market sectors. In all cases we will continue to use all the existing product trade marks and brand names as they have become synonymous with the market. We have also created new products utilising our LoCarbon and Sentinel energy efficient and demand ventilation platforms.
Couple this with our investments in UK manufacturing facilities which mean we can compete in a highly competitive manner with anyone in the world, whilst offering, in particular our UK customers an exceptional response and service, means we remain at the cutting edge of our industry. By the very nature of producing in the UK, we will also significantly reduce our Carbon Footprint, delivering what we preach for our products.
