Question: Can you please advise about the degree of protection (in terms of IP rating) for an LV electrical distribution board destined for a Zone 2 application?

Answer: For information on the required IP ratings for your installation, you need to contact the ECA or IET for advice. Links to both organisations can be found on the Voltimum website (www.voltimum.co.uk).

For information, all of ABBs distribution boards are rated at IP41. If you need higher IP rating than this, please contact ABB for further information.
