Question: Is there any requirement to have a disconnectable link between the main earthing terminal (MET) and the lightning protection, so that the lightning protection can be tested in isolation of the building earthing? Would this be a wise thing to fit?

Answer: Yes, there needs to be facility to isolate the lightning protection system from the electrical installation for testing.
