The name Klippon® has long been synonymous with the supply of terminals and
enclosures for use in both industrial and hazardous area (Ex) markets. Klippon® is a trade name of the international Weidmüller Group of companies which has sales and production facilities and agents in over 70 countries world-wide.
Weidmüller started manufacturing enclosures in the 1960’s. Since then our reputation
as a competent and reliable partner has been demonstrated on many occasions and
this is reinforced by our innovatively designed products that meet the most demanding
market requirements.
Weidmüller have recently used their vast experience in the enclosure market & taken the best features from two of the historic best selling ranges; the Klippon® TB and the Next range; and combined them with several new exciting features to produce the New Klippon® TB enclosure range. The new Klippon® TB offers a greater temperature range as standard, increased impact resistance and a gasket compression control system which ensure that this new range delivers outstanding performance in the severest of conditions.
The new Klippon ® TB replicates exactly the mounting foot print and external profile of each of the TB / Next enclosures it replaces offering the customer a user friendly field replaceable solution. The new range is offered in both of the traditional finishes Stainless Steel 316L & Mild Steel painted (RAL7032) and in 1 to 4 gland plate options allowing the end user the ability select the correct finish for their chosen environment and the ability to populate the enclosure in the manner the application demands. Also included is a new self captivated hinge pin system ensuring the door cannot accidentally removed but can be easily removed by the field engineer with out any tooling.
Finally we have maximized the glanding area on each face of the enclosure which will in several cases where the size of the enclosure is dictated by the number of entries allow the end user to use a smaller enclosure hence make a cost saving. Weidmüller have seen that as more and more areas of industry fall under the world-wide hazardous area legislation you need an enclosure that is designed to meet these increasingly stringent requirements and we believe that the new Klippon® TB enclosure will meet these demands for years to come.
