Brian Cox, the Emmy award-winning actor, is helping to raise the profile of SELECT, the industry body for Scotland’s electrical industry, by taking part in a dynamic nationwide television and radio advertising campaign.
Dundee-born Cox, who has portrayed characters as diverse as King Lear and Hannibal Lecter, will help to promote Scottish electrical excellence in a campaign which will reach more than three million people across the country.
The actor’s strong and instantly recognisable voice will reinforce the message about the reassurance and peace of mind which is available to clients through the use of SELECT member companies.
The Hollywood star, who is also a Laurence Olivier Award winner and holds the CBE, has been a household name since the sixties when he appeared in the cult TV series The Prisoner. Over a glittering career, he has starred on stage and screen, including film blockbusters such as The Bourne Identity, Troy, Braveheart and Rob Roy.
David Wright, Head of External Affairs at SELECT, said: “Managing to secure the services of someone as respected and widely acclaimed as Brian Cox is a major step forward in the way that SELECT is perceived both within the industry and in the wider community.
“Our members are keen to see an increasingly high profile for the SELECT identity, since it is demonstrable that membership maximises the benefits to individual businesses.”
