55North, the publishers behind Cabletalk, the official publication of SELECT, were delighted when the magazine was shortlisted in the recent Trade Association Forum (TAF) Awards.
Cabletalk narrowly missed out on the top spot in the Best Member Magazine category at the awards which recently took place at a glittering black tie affair in the Inter-Continental Hotel in London’s Park Lane.
55North Publishing Director Antony Begley commented: “It’s a great compliment for Cabletalk to be recognised, and we’re very pleased for SELECT to have its commitment to its Members being acknowledged in this way.”
Cabletalk is Scotland’s only monthly journal for the electrical contracting industry and has a readership of almost 20,000. It is distributed direct to SELECT’s 1,000+ members as well as to surveyors, architects and local authority specifiers.
Mr Begley continued: “Cabletalk is unique in the industry. It’s the only industry-endorsed publication in the Scottish market place. We pride ourselves on the great mix that it delivers – news, professional advice, specially commissioned original opinion pieces, plus special features on various sectors of the industry. Cabletalk is advice-led, but we also aim to be entertaining as well as informative.”
Last November Cabletalk was also shortlisted in the prestigious Scottish PPA (Periodical Publishers Assocaition) Awards, and it’s surely only a matter of time before it scoops the top prize.
