|
Question: I have completed a periodic inspection on a house, which has been rewired in PVC twin and earth cable, but from the outside in plastic trunking at first floor level around the front of the building. The building structure is of concrete. Is this acceptable? If it is not acceptable, what fault code would it be on the periodic inspection report? All tests carried out on the installation were satisfactory.
Answer: Other than that it is not normal practice to rewire in this way, if the T&E cables are protected in plastic trunking at high level, I think that the installation could be considered satisfactory and given a Code 4.
