Adaptaflex, the UK’s number one supplier of flexible conduit systems, has played a key part in the spectacular £800m restoration of London’s St Pancras International.

Enclosed within the trademark arches, which give the station its unique appearance are runs of Adaptaflex flexible conduit. The conduit protects all the cables used for the station’s lighting, security cameras and PA system.
Corber, the consortium responsible for the St Pancras refurbishment (comprising Costain, O’Rourkes, Bachy and Emcor Rail), had several reasons for specifying Adaptaflex:
“Due to the fact we frequently turn to Adaptaflex, we are familiar with all the benefits of the brand and the high quality of the conduit systems it offers, which is vitally important on a project of this scale” commented a Chief Engineer for Emcor Rail.
“We also knew that if there were any Section 12 issues relating to underground installation, Adaptaflex would have the necessary approvals and expertise to overcome them as quickly as possible.
“And finally and crucially, we enjoy great service from them. Adaptaflex has been particularly helpful on this project. It’s vital on an installation of this size when there are so many parties involved, to have good back up from a supplier and we certainly received that in this case.”
