Since January 2008, all UK concealed cable installations must comply with the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations published by the IET (The Institution for Engineering & Technology).
Installers fitting Nexans NXS pre-wired conduit will comply with all the relevant 17th edition clauses, specifically:
Chapter 52 - relates to the 'selection' and 'erection' of Wiring Cables less than 50mm from surface of wall or void and Concealed Cable regulation: 522.6.5, 6.6, 6.7 and 6.8.
Options:
- Cables in earthed metallic conduit,
- RCD's or RCBO's
- Wire in safety zone
- Cables to BS8436
