The National Electronics Week exhibition at the Earls Court in June will see the UK premier of PHOENIX CONTACT’s QUICKON IP68 Power Distribution system for the field.
The new IP68 and 690V / 20A rated QUICKON power distribution system enables four round cables of up to a 2.5mm˛ cross-section to be connected quickly and easily using IDC insulation displacement connection technology.
QUICKON Power Distribution from PHOENIX CONTACT is an industrial grade installation program with touch-safe fast and easy IDC insulation displacement connection technology for four round cables of up to a 2.5mm˛ cross-section capable of handling 690 V (UL) and 20 A.
It covers all significant components for energy distribution in widely distributed machines, installations, and buildings. These include H‑distributors with four internally linked connections, the conductor connector, and the panel feed-throughs with individual wires, slip-on and push-in connections.
With Quickon Power Distribution, devices no longer need to be opened in order to connect the wires. The Quickon plug connector with capacitive PE contact is plug-compatible with the Quickon connection at the front and also has a Quickon connection at the back. The female contacts at the front are protected from finger contact and polarized against false connections. The option of fixed and pluggable Quickon connections together with fast and reliable on-site installation offers high potential in the area of savings in large installations.
