David, who works for Canterbury based Halsion, had gone into Rexel in Ashford to pick up some Adaptaflex flexible conduit in December, when he decided to try his luck at the Big4Bonanza scratchcard promotion.
“I didn’t win any of the instant prizes and was going to throw the card away but the staff at Rexel suggested entering the draw for first prize” explains David. “I normally don’t bother doing those things but I certainly will in the future – it was two minutes very well spent!
Clive Bennett, Branch Manager of Rexel Senate in Ashford added “The Adaptaflex competition generated a lot of interest from our customers. We were delighted to have a winner in our branch and particularly from Halsion, one of our larger customers that we work closely with.” David won the first prize - a feature-packed Sony VGN CR21E laptop in a distinctive cool blue – which could not have come at a better time.
“I’m in my final year at college and need a computer to complete my assignments” he explains. “Now I’ve got something better than I could have afforded – for free – I’m delighted!”
Ann Timmons, Group Product Manager for Adaptaflex commented: “The Big4 promotion is always fun but it’s particularly pleasing to see the first prize go to someone who will really benefit. It’s nice to feel we have done something towards bringing on young talent in the industry!”
