The innovative vacuum circuit breaker versions, called GenieEvo, complement the existing SF6 gas insulated models from Merlin Gerin.

Streamlined manufacturing has enabled the company shorten deliveries for both GenieEvo vacuum and Genie SF6 versions, typically halving the lead times of conventional switchgear. Circuit breaker ratings from 630A to 1250A are available in both vacuum and SF6 versions. The brochure comes complete with full technical specifications.

GenieEvo vacuum circuit breakers have a life of 10,000 operations, which enables them to be used on applications that encounter frequent load current switching, such as motor starting. GenieEvo is also thought to be the only vacuum MV switchgear on the market to offer virtually maintenance-free operation. Unlike conventional vacuum switchgear, the isolators in GenieEvo are sealed in a cast resin enclosure containing controlled air, which eliminates the need for regular cleaning of the copper contacts - throughout the product's entire life.
