NG Bailey, the UK"e;s leading building services provider, has been recognised for its commitment to the sustainability of the built environment, through the services it provides to the UK construction industry.
The accolade of, ‘Sustainable M&E Contractor of the Year"e;, was awarded by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), through an event organised by the industry body"e;s in-house publications Building Services Journal.
NG Bailey"e;s Marketing Director, Cal Bailey, collected the coveted trophy at a lunchtime ceremony held at the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre on Wednesday 28th November.
The company won the award for its continued commitment to implementing sustainable building measures, both for clients and through its own national network of offices. In addition, the company was praised for its new Sustainability Report and the transformation of its new Scottish HQ in Strathclyde (pictured), into a BREEAM rated building.
In making the award the judges considered organisations that could prove the specification of sustainable materials and products, measures to minimise energy and water consumption, as well as waste reduction and recycling schemes on site.
The judges also acknowledged NG Bailey for its strong health and safety record, as for the third year in succession, reportable accidents at NG Bailey have declined and Accident Incidence Rates (AIR) remain less than half that of the industry standard.
