NAPIT members were quick off the mark when it came to updating themselves on the latest amendments to the IEE Wiring Regulations. Thanks to NAPIT"e;s keen organisation, 37 members passed 17th Edition update courses within days of eligibility.
NAPIT"e;s first full 17th Edition course also took place at the earliest opportunity. "e;We geared ourselves up to act fast,"e; said John Andrews, NAPIT"e;s chief executive, "e;and we"e;re pretty sure we were the first in the country to start educating electricians on the changes.
"e;NAPIT"e;s ethos centres around accepting only high calibre members, and so ensuring they have access to the latest information and training is paramount to maintaining our standards. We made sure that for those that wanted to stay ahead of the game, the support was there."e;
The one-day update courses are also open to non-members and have been designed for electricians already qualified with the 16th Edition. Courses are theory based sessions on BS7671: 2008 and the IEE Onsite Guide and are completed with a multiple choice on-line exam. Attendees leave with a copy of BS7671: 2008.
For those that don"e;t already hold the qualification, NAPIT"e;s three-day City & Guilds 17th Edition IEE Regulations courses are also open to non-members.
