Fossil fuel derived carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, leading to 'global warming', is a global issue and, according to most of the world's climatologists, very serious global problems, and possible catastrophe, will occur.

James Hunt - Editor

Dear User,

This month, read our articles below to learn about Renewable Energy. Read on:

Fossil fuel derived carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, leading to 'global warming', is a global issue and, according to most of the world's climatologists, very serious global problems, and possible catastrophe, will occur. The signs are becoming increasingly unambiguous, and it is essential to reduce CO2 emissions and fossil fuel dependence.

The European Climate Change Programme (ECCP) aims to ensure that the EU achieves the 8% cut in emissions by 2008-2012 to which it is committed under the Kyoto Protocol. One answer is the use of renewable energy - which is energy obtained from sources that are essentially inexhaustible, unlike, for example, fossil fuels, of which there is a finite supply. Renewable sources of energy include wood, waste, geothermal, wind, photovoltaic, and solar thermal energy.

This VoltiBULLETIN Extra looks at renewable energy in general, and at some of the technologies.

Kind Regards,
