US Customs is working collaboratively with intellectual property rights holders to identify inbound shipments of suspect product shipments. NEMA and its members have worked to educate and train port officials at the ports, as well as the Washington, D.C.-based IPR Enforcement Centre about counterfeit electrical products, so as to assist in their border protection efforts.
NEMA is the trade association of choice for the electrical manufacturing industry. BEAMA is NEMA's counterpart in the UK. BEAMAInstallation has produced its 'Counterfeit Kills' DVD/CD, which explains the issues, the dangers and the measures that can be taken against counterfeiting. This website is owned by BEAMAInstallation and its member companies and produced in association with Voltimum UK (www.voltimum.co.uk).
